Disney Plus Hotstar is changing password sharing Policy
Following the path of Netflix, Disney Plus Hotstar is taking a big decision. You can no longer share passwords with friends. If you want to do it, then you have to add extra money.
The popularity of OTT has suddenly increased during the Corona period. Almost everyone now watches their favorite movies, web series or games on their phones when they wish to.
But in most cases friends subscribe together. Everyone uses one Hotstar account by sharing the password. Currently 10 people can use one account.
But according to Hotstar sources, it is being considered to reduce the number to 4. It is heard that after this password can be shared only among family members. Not with friends. This rule applies to all plans, be it cheap or premium. The plan which earlier could be used by 4 people is being reduced to 2.
But why did Hotstar decide this? According to the company, many people watch Hotstar. Many people will subscribe if they don't get the opportunity to share passwords. It will increase the number of subscribers of Hotstar.
